Joomla Security Vulnerability: Balbooa Forms

A critical security vulnerability has been discovered following a recent wave of compromised websites. Joomla websites using the "Balbooa Forms" (baforms) extension are affected.
We have already implemented server-side firewall rules to automatically block known attack patterns and provide the best possible protection for these websites. However, this is not a substitute for an update.

Secure email sending – only with registered senders
Dear Customers
For security and deliverability reasons, sending emails via websites will in future only be possible with sender addresses configured in your hosting package.
This means:
When sending emails via your web forms, a sender address must be stored that also exists under this hosting package.
If you still want to use an external email address (e.g., @gmail.com, @bluewin.ch, @outlook.com), this is only possible with SMTP authentication via the respective provider's mail server.
